The poster competition is the highlight of Undergraduate Research Symposium! The poster presentation will take place in MacEwan Hall, full of undergrads like yourself talking with students, research supervisors, and faculty about their research projects.

Poster Grant Funding Application

The STUDENTS’ UNION UNDERGRADUATE RESEACH SYMPOSIUM POSTER GRANT provides funds to offset the costs of materials to participants of the Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Poster competition awards 2011

Thanks to the generous donations from our sponsors we will have one award for each of our theme areas.

The awards are valued at $500 to $1000. "Honourable Mention" certificates will be awarded to other outstanding posters.

You should begin creating your poster as soon as possible. We recommend large-format printing. Posters will be pinned or taped to large boards for the competition.

  1. Your poster cannot exceed 36'' x 46'' or 46'' x 36'' (both landscape and portrait orientation is possible)
  2. Your poster should contain at least the following elements:
    1. Short title
    2. Introduction
    3. Experimental approach
    4. Results
    5. Conclusion(s)
    6. References
    7. Acknowledgements
