You will take a lead role in supervising the day to day operations for the Den & Black Lounge restaurant including staff recruitment & training, planning/directing work flow and setting the workplace culture.  With a focus on maximizing and enhancing our business – you will set budgets and reach financial targets, direct in-house promotions, organize and promote group bookings & events and creatively contribute to our marketing strategy.

You have a financial flair and a minimum of 3+ years of bar experience, at a supervisory level, gained within a high-volume food & beverage environment.  A diploma in food & beverage management would be considered an asset. Your schedule permits the flexibility to work both day and evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and develop staff on guest service principles and practices through: new hire orientation, providing coaching and ongoing feedback, outlining performance expectations and conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Schedule staff, in alignment with the annual budget, to ensure proper coverage throughout peak times.  Monitor and process payroll information.
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching of staff to increase customer service levels and staff knowledge in the areas alcohol awareness and server intervention.
