As part of a team of campaign coordinators, volunteers in this position will play a key role in executing the SU’s Get Out the Vote (GOTV) direct voter contact strategy. As a Provincial Election Campaign Coordinator, you will encourage democratic participation among students and increase the influence they have with the provincial government. Drawing from a database of up to 10,000 names the weekend before Election Day, our team will make contact with University of Calgary students that have opted-in to the database and ensure they know when to vote, how to vote, where to vote (based on their postal code) and why to vote.

Volunteers must be available approximately ten (10) hours per month between September and April. The schedule is flexible. Volunteers must also be available for a six (6) hour shift on either the Saturday or Sunday before Election Day (Monday) in March or April.

Benefits of participation include engaging in a variety of unique opportunities in the community, gaining deeper understanding of social, cultural and environmental issues and situations, and meeting other like-minded and involved students.
