Calling all Education, Medicine and Social Work students! If you’re looking for leadership experience and want to gain skills in advocacy and communication, take this opportunity to join the SU Students’ Legislative Council.

Calling students from all faculties! Looking to influence policy, make connections, and gain professional experience? Run to become a Senate Representative.

The SU is holding a By-Election in October to fill Faculty Representative vacancies in Education, Medicine, and Social Work, and a Senate vacancy. Unofficial Nomination Packages with all of the rules for running are available online now, and official packages will be available for download on our website starting Monday, September 11, 2017.

Spend a few days talking to other students in your faculty. Find out their needs and wants, and think about how you could support them as an SU rep. Then, start pulling together your campaign points and gathering signatures for support. Nomination Days will be held from September 25 to 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. You must drop off your nomination package during these times in order to qualify as a candidate. Voting days will follow in October (11 to 13).
