The Students' Union Tutor Registry
Struggling with your course work? Need assistance preparing for an exam? Our qualified tutors are here to help.
The Students' Union Tutor Registry is a free, online searchable database of qualified university students and alumni offering tutoring services in a wide range of subjects.
We try to ensure that our tutors are qualified by verifying that the following criteria are met before we approve them for our searchable list:
- Must be at least a second year student and currently enrolled in studies at the University of Calgary.
- Obtain an A- or higher in the course(s) they intend to tutor in.
- Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
You must be a second year student or above; obtain an A- or better in the courses you wish to tutor and maintain a minimum overall 3.0 GPA. The Students' Union Tutor Registry standards are taken seriously and all applicants, regardless of their degree level are required to provide documentation that clearly shows that you have achieved a level of mastery in the course(s) you wish to tutor.
Please keep in mind that tutors are not available for all University of Calgary courses.
If you are having difficulties searching for courses you want help in then please try putting in the course name only, and leaving all other search fields blank. This will give you the most results back. Or just choose one faculty at a time from the faculty search field box to see the list of tutors registered under each faculty and the courses they tutor.
You may not find the exact course name and number you were searching for, but you can try contacting tutors who tutor similar courses as they might be willing to tutor you in the specific course you need help with.
