multi-ward meet and greet

Students at the University of Calgary live across the city. As a commuter campus, in a city with so many public post-secondary institutions, student issues become city issues and vice-versa. This means that every ward, and every candidate, is important to students, staff and the campus community.

Stop by the Multi-Ward Meet and Greet hosted by the Students’ Union and Graduate Students’ Association and find out where how candidates in your ward feel about the issues that matter.

Municipal Election: October 16

This election is going to be different!  The municipal election will be held on Oct. 16 and the student vote has never mattered more! The municipal government directly impacts your day-to-day life and the student vote could easily decide who represents you at City Council.

We are working on a gigantic Get Out The Vote initiative!

By demonstrating that students have a block of votes to win like other large demographic groups, the goal of our non-partisan GOTV campaign is to encourage Councillors across Calgary to enact more student-friendly policies on important post-secondary issues at the municipal level: secondary suite legalization, more transit access and a transit appeals process for instance.

Students can have a much bigger voice at City Hall, but we need your help!

Start by making your pledge to vote or by registering to volunteer!
